San Juan, Puerto Rico - As a unique proposal and an innovative promise, the Aloft brand opened at El Distrito, said Federico Stubbe Jr., president of PRISA Group, developer of El Distrito , the premiere entertainment center of Puerto Rico, which will soon open at the San Juan Convention District.

"We are proud to announce the opening of the first Aloft hotel in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Aloft San Juan is one of the anchor properties of El Distrito and the first to open in what will be a unique and revolutionary project in its entertainment offer in the region. Its modern and avant-garde design, and its vibrant social environment, add variety to the local hotel offer, as it is designed to meet the new generation of travelers,” Stubbe said. The executive added that the opening of Aloft represents the opening of the first phase of El Distrito. "This inauguration is only the first of many, as we will be opening this large-scale project in stages." The executive said that the first event in the long-awaited Coca-Cola Music Hall is scheduled for March 20 th.

Stubbe stressed that the hotel is a very attractive one for millennials, a segment that likes to travel and live unique experiences such as those that will be found at El Distrito, the innovative project that is built in the Conventions District area with an investment of $ 175 million. Aloft San Juan, one of the main components of El Distrito and built at a cost of over $50 million, introduces a meeting place with an urban and fashionable spirit, making it an ideal destination not only for visitors, but also for locals. The property has 177 loft-style rooms, distributed over seven floors with a variety of open spaces full of activity and with the most modern and innovative technology.

Aloft San Juan is presented as a promoter of Puerto Rican art and a clear example is the Live at Aloft Hotels sessions, the brand's international program, in which various emerging bands will perform concerts at the hotel's Re: mix℠ Lounge. The Aloft brand brings its W XYZ® Bar to San Juan, a bar integrated within the lobby with a modern and open concept environment, which can be used for work and networking.     Aloft knows that there is no specific schedule to relax or train. That is why it created Re: charge℠, a 24-hour gym, every day of the week for guests.
