Art and Puerto Rican Cuisine: Sazón Cocina Criolla
Want to get to know Puerto Rican culture through its food? Say hello to the recently opened restaurant Sazón Cocina Criolla.
Right in the heart of DISTRITO T-Mobile, Sazón Cocina Criolla represents the evolution of Puerto Rican culture, looking to dazzle and entertain those who are looking for an authentic yet avant-garde experience. With a fresh take on the island’s classic cuisine, be ready to taste classics like mofongo relleno (stuffed fried plantains) filled with your choice of fresh seafood, apps like artisanal pork, shrimp or pastelón turnovers or modern twists like the paella jíbara; perfect to share with company. As far as the drinks are concerned, they’ve got you covered with a wide selection of wines, local and international beers, a variety of spirits and a cocktail menu made to pair with your favorite dish.
“Sazón represents in a modern way, the essence of the Puerto Rican environment. It has an outdoor patio and a bar with the best view of the main stage in DISTRITO T-Mobile and the multi-sensory experience that is the Central Plaza. We located Sazón in that space because we want to reaffirm that Puerto Ricans are the center and heart of this whole project.” – expressed the architect Hans Moll-Stubbe, managing partner of PRISA Group, developer and owner of the concept.
As if the food wasn’t enough, you will experience the fusion of fresh cuisine with local artistic expressions along the restaurant. The biggest piece? A 15-foot-long red snapper made from wood created by Puerto Rican artist Mark Rivera. Not only is it amazing to look at, you will want to see it come to life as it announces the arrival of Happy Hour.
Sazón Cocina Criolla is opening its doors every day from 4:00PM to 10:00PM with our last seating for dinner at 9:00 p.m. complying with the most recent executive order, so come visit us. You won’t want to miss this authentic Puerto Rican experience.
